So, there’s been quite a bit of progress today. I’m pretty satisfied with the way I’m able to colour skin right now. I may need to practice with different skin tones, but this should be good for now.
I intended to spend the day downloading brushes but…I don’t really wanna look through 11, 000+ different brushes so I’ll just look through the assets whenever I think I’ll need a brush. I did manage to download some pretty good brushes though.
So, I have touched the image up with some more shading, highlights, and colouring and it looks a lot better and a lot more solid now (I think). Reviewed how light bounces off of objects and did learn a bit more about specular and diffuse light. The biggest change (albeit one of the most subtle) was adding flesh tones to certain areas where I failed to last time after studying some references.
Compare and Contrast
Contrasting the four images below…I’m pretty sure I’ve improved a bit. They’re in reverse-chronological order.

Anywho, thanks for reading and I’ll see you tomorrow!
